Our Mission Statement
We, the Young Adults of Queen of the Universe, commit to serve God and respond to the Spiritual, Service and Social needs of our brothers and sisters, in an atmosphere where all are welcomed. We offer our God-given abilities unconditionally to the community of Queen of the Universe and pray that, in doing so, we will forever strengthen the bond between all ages.
Our History
The Young Adults of Queen of the Universe was founded in January of 1999, inspired and nurtured by our founder, Kim Cahill and blessed and encouraged by our Paster, Father Wiedmann. The ministry now known as QUASAR, has expanded to a core team of fifteen and growing. Thoughout 1999, QUASAR was mentored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office for Youth and Young Adults, through their NEXT STEP PROGRAM. The program was designed to assist groups interested in becoming a cohesive ministry with the ultimate goal of evangilizing the young adults of our Parish.
Although still in our infancy, QUASAR has quickly become recognized as a vibrant, energetic ministry, attending to the spiritual, social and service needs of our entire parish. Social activities include:
Aid for Friends night
Trips to the Cathedrals, Shrines and Museums
Octoberfest
Parish Picnie
Dinner Engagements
Church Cleaning
Monte Carlo Night
Core Team Meeting is every Third Sunday of the month, at 7 pm, Upper Room at the Rectory of Q.U. Come and Join in the Fun!
